RFID Certified Compliance

RFID 'smart tag' labeling is called out in the latest
MIL-STD 129P with Change 3. RFID labels must comply with EPC global Class 0 or Class 1. The RFID label must be 'readable' at a distance of 3 meters and 10 mph when palletized and delivered to DoD Depots with RF portals installed. For conveyor belts, read distance must be 1 meter at 600 feet per minute. The data constructs the supplier's CAGE code or the EPC global construct. Suppliers must ensure that:

1. Tags are readable.
2. Each tag identification is unique.

UIDS provides our subscribers with RFID tags, either printed and supplied from UIDS with our 24 hour tag delivery service, or printed at our customer’s site with equipment installed and maintained by UIDS.  UIDS tests each RFID label to ensure it is readable to the requirements spelled out in MIL-129P Change 3.  We store the tag verification data in a test report in our database, and then we link the test report to a Certificate of Conformance, that again can be viewed, emailed or printed by our subscribers in the same fashion as the UID Certificates of Conformance.

When packaging UID marked parts, subscribers have the ability to ‘link’  the UIDs with the package they are being shipped in.  The UIDS software links the RFID EPC unique identification to the UIDs and this data is stored on the subscriber’s UID / RFID registry that is accessible and downloadable at any time.
